When I'am 64 part Deux

CLICK FOR INTRO !  I am from the era of the Beatles, Hippies, Vietnam. I am of immediate post WW 2 vintage (fine wine). I am coming to 'grips' with AGING but not 'grasping' it as well as I should. The statement has taken on new and profound meaning for me.
"YOUTH IS WASTED ON THE YOUNG''
I have always been a "busy" person , many projects , many interests, many 'iorns' in many 'fires', often this has been problematic but I have continued the trend. As I age this has not changed, but I do miss the energy necessary to complete or keep up with what I have assigned my self to accomplish.
Recently three "all nighters" in a week left me weak, I have forgotten who I was calling after dialing a number ! I sometimes double schedule my self on projects. I develop new interests almost daily and expand those already established.Currently I have the following on my plate; Writing a bi-weekly Blog, Writing a book [for several years],Acting in two concurrent productions (new audition Sunday), helping write a screen play,Managing a Band, looking for a part time job,Opening a Craft Store in the next two months, dealing with the VA, Husband, Father, Grandfather, friend.
2010 was a very good year for me in ways that most would not expect, especially me. It has been the worst year ever for me financially, except for those years I had been given over to my baser emotions and appetites, however I have not missed a meal, as have many, driven almost anywhere I wanted (or needed),grown closer to family, reconnected with some old friends and made some who I believe will be life long. I have discovered "new" talents, reevaluated some others and faced challenges I never knew existed.
I have seen broken relationships, not only repaired but renewed, I have had my faith in some members of "Mankind" restored and in some diminished.I set aside my long time career and began new ones.I have discovered you can REALLY agree to disagree. Learned from those I thought had nothing to teach, and taught some I thought incapable of learning.
I have learned TRUE friendship by being hurt by some I thought were friends, and by being befriended by some I never expected. I have found that your "sins WILL find you out" but forgiveness does exist.I really like
"THOSE WHO CARE DON'T MIND, AND THOSE WHO MIND DON'T CARE."
The place you worship makes no difference as long as it does not involve snakes or small animals. Pet all dogs, avoid cats unless they greet you first. Beauty IS only skin deep. Every Dog has his day.Vengeance is sweet. There are skeletons in everyone's closet[some doors should remain closed].Bikers are good people. Music soothes the savage beast. Your only as old as you feel. Life is too short.Babies are cool.and
IF YOU CAN'T RUN WITH THE BIG DOGS STAY ON THE PORCH [OR GET A HEAD START]

my wife quotes this song often; ON GROWING OLD
