"NO GOD OR KNOW GOD"

       I have Followers of this Blog and my Facebook Notes from various walks of life and varied "spiritual" or "Theological"perspectives. I have friends who hold both a "Biblical World View" and those with a "Humanist World View". For the purpose of this discussion let me define both groups in terms the other side would use;
BWV's- We are Lab Rats placed in a maze by faceless creator, destined to run the maze with an occasional treat until we emerge on the other side to eat treats forever.
HWV's- We are Billiard Balls randomly "racked" and then on the "break" by some cosmic "slop shooter"we rebound randomly from one "rail" to anther and haphazardly drop in a pocket and into oblivion.

     Their are various degrees between lab rat and billiard ball. Some BWV's believe we are guided through each turn of the maze, receiving a mild "shock" each time we attempt to take a wrong turn and then we are rewarded when we chose correctly , while I do believe that God is involved in everything we do and I do believe we  reap what we sow I do not believe we need his advice on what color shirt to wear nor do we need to ask him to help us pick the best tomatoes from the grocery store.Some feel that once created we are turned loose to find our way around, blindly stumbling  and staggering till the end with the creator hoping we make it. A third type of BWV'er and the one closest to my theory is that once created we are given a "flight plan", a map and some sort of internal GPS (a conscience,or moral compass) . Our map is clearly marked with our destination, and may include "no fly zones", and terrain data indicating areas where "flying" is safe, but our safe arrival is based on our skill as a pilot and our ability to stay on course and to read and follow directions. This theory is based on we being given free will and the ability exercise that will.
      Most HWV'ers believe that after the "bang", and after we "Fish with legs" climbed out of the ooze some of us became good fish and some bad fish and that in the end we will all be nothing more than "dead" fish.
Not fully understanding the science of Evolution  , I do not understand how various personality traits have devolved , I can accept evolutionary physical development to a point, but I need to know more about how Darwin explained Human intelligence and personality traits, the very thing which separates us from "lower life forms".For more discussion of the EVOLUTION issue see my earlier Blog posting "Darwin did us Dirty".
     Some one recently posted on Facebook "Faith believes in GOD, Intelligence does not" I was immediately offended, I know I am a man of faith and have been led to believe that I am at least of average intelligence, I pointed out that the two are not mutually exclusive and that through out History many great thinkers have had a belief in god at some level. I further stated that. while having a strong belief in both GOD and SCIENCE ,I know it requires a degree of faith in science and GOD to ride in an airplane. Science had disappointed me numerous times but God never has!. Individuals will and should make up their own minds, you will not hear me preach or proselytize, but if you ask I will gladly share.

I would rather believe in GOD and discover in the END that he does not exist, than not believe and discover that he does.
It is just like wearing a PARACHUTE you may never have used one, you may not believe they work but just jump out of an AIRPLANE with out one !
